Privacy Policy
This policy describes how Leadsment collects, uses, and protects personal data when you use our service and website.
1. Who is responsible
Leadsment (a Finnish business entity) is the controller for personal data we collect directly about you as a Leadsment customer or website visitor. Contact: Konsta@leadsment.com.
2. What we collect
When you use Leadsment as a customer, we collect:
- Account data — your name, business email address, organisation name, and role.
- Billing data — payment method details (handled by Stripe; we never store full card numbers), VAT ID, billing address.
- Usage data — how you use the product: pages viewed, features used, errors encountered.
- Communication data — emails you send us and replies we send you.
We do not collect personal data about the visitors to your website through the Leadsment tracking snippet — identification is company-level only. See our Security & GDPR page for the technical detail.
3. How we use it
We use the data above to provide and operate the Leadsment service, bill you, respond to support requests, detect and prevent abuse or fraud, and improve the product. We do not sell personal data to third parties.
4. Legal bases (GDPR)
- Contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) — for account, billing, and service-delivery data.
- Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — for usage analytics, fraud prevention, and product improvement.
- Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) — for accounting and tax records.
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — where it applies (e.g. cookies that are not strictly necessary — see our Cookie Policy).
5. Who we share with
We share the minimum data necessary with a small set of sub-processors who help us operate the service (database, hosting, email delivery, payment processing). The full list, including regions and privacy policies, is on our Security & GDPR page. We do not share personal data with advertisers or third-party marketers.
6. Retention
We retain personal data only as long as we need it. Active account data is kept while your subscription is active. After cancellation, data is retained for 30 days and then deleted, except where a longer retention period is required by law (typically accounting records for 6 years under Finnish law).
7. Your rights
Under GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Delete your data (“right to be forgotten”).
- Export your data in a portable format.
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Lodge a complaint with the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman or another EU supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email Konsta@leadsment.com. We respond within 30 days, typically much sooner.
8. International transfers
We keep personal data in the EU. Where a sub-processor requires data to be transferred outside the EU (rare, but e.g. for certain payment-processing operations), we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses and the sub-processor's own safeguards.
9. Cookies
See our separate Cookie Policy for details on the cookies used on the Leadsment website and the application.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes are reflected in the “Last updated” date at the top and notified by email to active customers.
